At that time, I knew how quickly I could sink into despair. Once depression started knocking on my door, I had no other choice, but to repress it violently. Once it came and entered, I knew I’d be a sunken mess, twiddling my thumbs and staring off at the horizon. The further that I walked, the further depression seized me. Finally, I turned around – the land was private anyways. My thoughts were interrupted by a pair of snowmobiles coming in a beeline towards me. I kept walking earnestly, as I avoided looking towards them. The men stopped and then approached me. “Bonjour, ça va?” 

“Parlez-vous anglais?” I answered. Then I saw they were wearing badges.”
